If you need me I’ll be in my blanket fort

I’ve been binge-watching Suits this week. Because I can and I want to.

I’d like to blame it on the weather and the fact that I did 20km of hardcore hiking this past weekend.

Ella and her friends completed their qualifying journey for the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Level award this past weekend and I was one of the adults that accompanied them. It was a great weekend spent with some great people. But like I said, I did 20km of hardcore hiking. And then I didn’t sleep much Sunday night. 😴

By the time Monday arrived, I was toast. The only thing I wanted to do was binge-watch Suits. Sadly that did not happen because our internet was down. 😭

So instead of happily passing the day in my blanket fort while getting caught up on all things Donna and Harvey…

Donna and Harvey

I begrudgingly spent it in a haze unpacking from the trip and doing laundry.

It’s all good though, because Monday night brought some sweet thunderstorms and plenty of rain that lasted through most of Tuesday. Perfect conditions for hanging out in a blanket fort while binge-watching Suits.

Now it’s Wednesday. The weather is marginally better – it’s stopped raining at least – and I fully recovered from the weekend. Adulting should be back in full swing. But you know what? I don’t want to Adult yet. Quite frankly, I just want to crawl back into my blanket fort and continue binge-watching Suits.

Adulting is hard. If you need me I'll be in my blanket fort.

And that’s exactly what I’m going to do. It’s called self care. So if you need me, I’ll be in my blanket fort.

See ya next week! 😘
