Both of my girls are home with me this week. We’ve been having fun hanging out. Today we did an Escape room (spoiler: we didn’t make it out), tomorrow there’ll be a lemonade stand 🍋 and Thursday, we’re headed to the beach. 🏖
I enjoy having them around – mostly. 😉 If I’m being honest it ain’t all lovely, happy togetherness. If I have to hear one more time “what can I have to eeeeaaatttt?” I may have to gouge my ears out. 🙄
The other problem with having my girls home this week: It’s nearly impossible for me to get any work done. My normal routine is shot.
That said, I wouldn’t trade this time for anything. There are only so many summers I’m gonna have with my girls. Only so many trips to the beach.
So I plan to enjoy our time together this week as much as possible. If that means most of my work will have to wait until next week, so be it. I’ve no doubt it’ll still be there next week, waiting with open arms for me to embrace it back into my life.
My advice to you: Take advantage of the moments you get to connect with those who are important to you. 💕 I guarantee when you reach the end of your life, you won’t be wishing you’d done more work. But you may wish you’d spent more time with the people that matter to you.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go read to my daughter.
